How to Make Creamy Fruit Salad with Vanilla Yogurt

First, mix 4 cups of vanilla yogurt, 1 diced apple, 1 chopped banana, 1 cup of grapes cut in half, ½ cup of raisins, and ½ cup of quick oats all together.

And… that’s it!! Super simple, right?

You can add some toasted almonds on top right before serving, if you like, but it’s not necessary. I really like toasted almonds and the little bit of crunch they add to the fruit salad.

How to toast almonds

Place some sliced almonds in a dry (no oil) skillet over medium heat. Keep the almonds moving by stirring or shaking the pan. Once the almonds start to brown and are fragrant, remove them from the skillet and allow them to cool.

They’ll toast pretty quickly, so be sure to pay attention so they don’t burn. Once they’re cool, you can sprinkle them on your fruit salad. Store any leftovers in an airtight container for later use. Do not mix them in with all of the salad unless it’ll be eaten right away. If the almonds are left in the salad for too long, they’ll lose their crunch.

How long will fruit salad last in the fridge?

This creamy yogurt fruit salad will last around 4 days covered in the fridge. Will the bananas turn brown, though, you ask? A little bit on the outer parts might, but as long as the bananas are coated with the yogurt, they should be fine. In our experience, they don’t get extra mushy or change in flavor after a few days in the fridge.
