Method
- Boil the water in a medium pan.
- Once it's fully boiling, stir in the old fashioned oats (not quick/instant or steel-cut!) and reduce the heat to medium-low.
- Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and stir in the sugar and frozen fruit.
- Let the oatmeal sit for a few minutes to ensure that the fruit is heated through.
- Stir in vanilla (optional) and enjoy!
