Fruity Oatmeal

Ingredients
  

  • 5 cups water
  • 3 cups old fashioned oatmeal
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 package frozen fruit (12-16 ounces)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Boil the water in a medium pan.
  • Once it's fully boiling, stir in the old fashioned oats (not quick/instant or steel-cut!) and reduce the heat to medium-low.
  • Let simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and stir in the sugar and frozen fruit.
  • Let the oatmeal sit for a few minutes to ensure that the fruit is heated through.
  • Stir in vanilla (optional) and enjoy!
