Easy Chocolate Gravy (Making With Megan)

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Stir the butter and flour together in a saucepan over medium heat until the butter melts. Continue to stir and let it cook for a couple more minutes.
  • Stir in the cocoa powder and a pinch of salt.
  • Alternately stir in the sugar and milk, about a third at a time, until they are all incorporated.
  • Cook until the gravy starts to thicken, stirring every so often. Be sure to scrape the corners and bottom of the pan.
  • Once the gravy is the consistency of runny pudding, remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
  • Serve with biscuits.
